Welcome to The Tamworth Primary Course – an integrated study guide and preparation course for the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) primary MCQ and Viva examinations. This is not about what to study for the ACEM primary exam, it’s about how to study.
We offer four core resources to streamline your preparation for the ACEM primary exam and help establish effective study habits that will stand you in good stead for future fellowship preparation:

- The exam preparation series for the ACEM primary Viva
- The online Tamworth Primary Course running twice yearly ** This online Viva Course last ran in April 2025, the team are taking a break to renew resources and reinvigorate the Course, it is anticipated to recommence in line with the 2026.2 Viva**
Whilst complementary, these resources can be used independently of each other.
Our facilitators are experienced FACEMs and the study materials are free and open access. We are passionate about providing excellent education opportunities for trainees at all stages of training.
